That's if your business logic layer is in the same Web Application Project as your main site. My problem was that I was trying to get it working in a separate BLL project in the same solution, as was solved per my 2nd post. glad to have helped the other two

Hi Chitty, Yep it seems the language selected was indeed the issue .. I added "/lang vb" to my external tools sonic.exe call: e.g. "generate /out Generated /lang vb" and it generated .vb class files instead. After a recompile I was finally able to access the classes by adding a: Imports...
